Yarra Valley Wine Education Course and Retreat
We have dates set in Septemberer for what will be two memorable wine courses at the historic and luxurious Chateau Yering Hotel in the Yarra Valley.
Not just a wine education course, this will be a taste of country living at it's finest. Set over three days, it will also be a chance to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Yarra Valley too. What better place to relax and learn all you wanted to learn about wine than Chateau Yering?
You will be staying at the historic and luxurious Chateau Yering Hotel and enjoying fine dining in Eleonore’s Restaurant in the hotel. It's an iconic property that dates back to the mid 1800's. In addition to the wine education course, ample opportunities to learn about food and wine pairing us we share meals in Eleonore’s. Light lunches will be served each day and will be an opportunity for Nathalie showcase dishes and wine matching.
There will be wonderful food and companionship for 3 days while Nathalie hosts and conducts the wine course. As an added treat, we hope that Yering Stations own winemaker will be available to participate and share his knowledge as part of the course. Nathalie is passionate about terroir and a tour of the vineyard itself with Nathalie is an opportunity not to be missed. The things that you learn about as the course unfolds you will see, touch and smell when you visit the vineyard.
The theme of this wine retreat is to of course learn about wine but we want it to be more than that. An informal country retreat atmosphere, good wine and good conversation.
Chateau Yering Hotel
In the heart of the Yarra Valley lies iconic Chateau Yering. The historic homestead was reborn in 1997 as a gracious five-star property. Featuring elegant period fittings throughout, the hotel offers luxury accommodation, appeasing service and award-winning dining.
The Hotel is situated on 250 acres of land with a 2.7 kilometre frontage to the Yarra river. It enjoys spectacular views across the Yarra Valley to the Great Dividing Range and is very conveniently located approximately one hour's drive north east of Melbourne and about the same to the International Airport.
A highlight of this wine retreat will be dining at Eleonore’s Restaurant in the hotel. Elegant Eleonore’s seamlessly merges its historic setting with a contemporary verve for cuisine. The fine-dining restaurant’s modern menu, influenced by a splash of Asian flavour, manages to sit sublimely within the old-world surrounds of a 19th-century chateau. The creative choice of ingredients and their daring combinations will ensure your dining experience in Eleonore’s Restaurant will be long remembered. Perenially a favourite of foodies, it’s consistently awarded one chef’s hat in the Age Good Food Guide.
